Commissioned by Epic Rights and UMusic, we were tasked with creating official John Lennon merchandise that would be sold on johnlennon.com
John Lennon and Yoko Ono held two week-long nonviolent protests, called "Bed-ins for Peace," while the Vietnam War raged on in 1969. The protests were inspired by the idea of a sit-in, where protesters remain seated until their demands are met.
Using the ‘Bed Peace’ protest banners as a starting point, I replicated two styles of hand used by Lennon and Ono and created two digital fonts. These fonts were then used across various merchandise such as T-Shirts, Greetings Cards, Hats, Badges and more.
